Activity 3:Record and edit a video
I used my Android device to record the original videos. I was trying to create a story as an example for my English 12 First Peoples class, who will be writing their own stories at the end of the course. The axolotl figure was a gift from a student years ago and a source of inspiration.

For the splicing and editing of the four videos I used the Icecream Video Editor. I found using this program to be very intuitive like using Audacity. Importing the videos posed no issues and the trimming was familiar. One of the first things I did was add transitions to the videos and trim superfluous dialogue. Changing the voice was my favourite part, as it adds character to the dialogue.
Activity 4: Record a Screencast
I hope to use this Screencast (made with Screen-O-Matic) for my Grade 8 English class’s final project, as presented in Assignment 2. I attempted to edit the video within the application, but I found exporting it into Icecream was easier and more familiar. The greatest hurdle I ran into had nothing to do with the programs, but with my microphone settings.
