Connections are a key component of English and English First Peoples at the secondary level. Students have shown difficulty in remembering the three types of connections that they can make with text. I plan to use this as a poster around my classroom to serve as a reminder to students. I made the graphic with Paint 3D.

Hi Kate-Nicola,
I think this graphic works for a recurring series of themes for students to connect with literature. I think you can also use each singularly and add them when each element is relevant.
Years ago when I was building custom websites for each online course at UVic I developed a series of icons to signal activity types in business courses.
